Today we’re talking about email automation 101 – my favorite subject in the entire world! You can get so much done while you’re asleep and have it work for you forever.
What marketing automation is: it’s a way to personalize for people. We want people to come into our newsletter list to get emails that are based on them and their interests. We don’t want to sell a $2000 product to someone who can’t afford it!
We want to send out emails to people based on their buyer persona and the way they’ve interacted with your emails. Something that’s important is what we do – listing and tagging people in certain directories.
You can group people by how they reacted to your emails, if they liked it, or clicked on it. Not only that you can filter out people by groups (for example: sending out emails to join a Facebook group and filtering out the people who are already in your group).
Another useful thing is triggers. We basically use triggers to make certain things happen. So, we have an email automation, but what starts it? Let’s say someone buys a course – this can trigger an email automation. You can have a trigger for people who read emails, people who fill forms, people who click links, and more.
